This iconic system was designed by Poul Cadovius, a Danish designer and manufacturer who created and self-produced the Royal System in 1948. As one of the world’s first floating wall systems, it introduced a revolutionary concept: moving furniture off the floor and onto the walls, creating more space in the room while providing flexible, modular storage for shelves, cabinets, and desks.

The unit is in good vintage condition, showing some natural signs of age and use visible in the photos. The open cabinet originally came with glass doors, but it works perfectly well without them, and looks just as elegant in its current form.
